Principal Corner

Welcome to Stateside Elementary School for the 2024-2025 School Year!  I am thrilled to be here as Principal of Stateside Elementary.  

A little about myself, I graduated in 2000 from Campbell University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology.  I worked as a social worker at Onslow County Department of Social Services for 5 years before embarking on a new career in education.  I completed my licensure for Exceptional Children through East Carolina University and began teaching at Richlands Elementary in 2005. In the fall of 2009, I was asked to serve as a Technical Support Teacher / Program Specialist for the Exceptional Children Department.  Ultimately, it was this position that sparked my interest in pursuing licensure in the area of school administration.  I graduated from East Carolina University in May 2013 with a graduate degree in school administration and curriculum.  GO PIRATES! Prior to coming to STES, I served as the Assistant Principal at Bell Fork Elementary for 4 years and New Bridge Middle School, also for 4 years. Most recently, I served as Principal for the past three years at Queens Creek Elementary.

Although I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, I have lived in Onslow County since 1986 and I'm proud to call it home.  I am married to a wonderful man, Scott, and we have two great children, Robby and Sarah.
